As our Strategic Partnerships and Commercial Operations Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of Gridsight’s mission, driving business growth and maximising revenue across our global business. In this critical role, you’ll apply your commercial & legal expertise to create value through strategic commercial partnerships, supporting GTM acceleration; whether it’s the development and management of new strategic partnerships, or engaging your creativity in structuring deals, you will be instrumental in shaping our commercial strategies, both to drive scale up and enhance our operational efficiency. Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships: Grow and lead our partnerships function. Manage & maximise existing partnerships. Test & scale new partnerships to accelerate GTM in existing markets, enter new markets and enhance our product capabilities.
- Deal Desk & RevOps: Own, streamline and manage sales and revenue operations processes including Deal Desk formation and management, revenue forecasting; centralise reporting and performance monitoring;
- Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as SaaS agreements, licensing deals, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements; conduct initial legal reviews (MSAs, NDAs, etc.) and coordinate with external legal counsel as required;
- Compliance and Advisory: Own, streamline and manage our key commercial documentation processes; ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations; provide legal advice to internal teams around data protection laws; support ISO 27001 and SOC2 implementation as required;
- Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third parties; create and drive review processes;
- Treasury and Grant Management: Actively manage working capital and non-competitive grants to maximise yields/credits.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Development and management of processes; track key performance indicators related to both commercial and operational activities; support executive reporting, board meetings and fundraising;
Requirements
Your Skills + Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or J.D. in Law;
- 4 – 8+ years of professional experience across commercial management, operations, or a similar role, preferably within the tech or software industry; experience in SaaS (Software as a Service), enterprise software, or pre-Series C tech startups preferred;
- Strong negotiation skills for closing deals, managing contracts, and establishing partnerships;
- Proven ability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and managing P&L;
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing strategic projects across multiple departments with varying timelines; you’re also proficient in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on progress-to-goal and impact;
- Self-starter mentality; you’re able to independently prioritise tasks and manage time effectively with minimal oversight.
