Development is at the heart of everything we do at RecargaPay. As a Staff Mobile Engineer on the Core team, you’ll be part of a talented software team working on mission-critical applications. Responsibilities include designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.


  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using software development best practices.
  • Contribute at all stages of the development lifecycle;
  • Create and maintain software documentation;
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and submitting them for architectural review;
  • Teach, mentor, grow, and provide advice to other domain experts, individual contributors, across multiple teams in your subdepartment;
  • Resolve technical issues of greater scope, complexity and ambiguity for your subdepartment;
  • Interface with MEs and senior or higher management and allows team engineers to be involved in departmental level aspects of larger initiatives (from the entire subdepartment);
  • Look for innovation opportunities among several teams willing to experiment and boldly face problems of great complexity and scope;
  • Propose the initial technical implementation that supports architectural changes that solve scale and performance issues;
  • Guide conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration across teams.
  • Expose the work of the subdepartment and its impact on the business internally.


  • Experience in practical engineering and technical leadership positions;
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly learn and master diverse web technologies and techniques;
  • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications built for high performance and throughput while being scalable and reliable;
  • Knowledge related to cybersecurity.
  • Optimizations in general.
  • Knowledge of market trends (techniques) in tools, structures, etc;
  • Automation of tests and processes in general (related to mobile devices);
  • Solid knowledge and experience in React Native (excludible);
  • Verifiable experience in native mobile development with Java or Kotlin, objective-c or Swift (exluyente);
  • Experience in backend is a differential (node, java mainly);
  • Knowledge and experience on database usage.
  • Solid experience with monitoring tools (NewRelic, Amplitude, etc).
  • Knowledge of how Apple Store, Play Store and CodePush work.
