Overview
The Storefront and Customer Portal team at Recharge is looking for a Staff Engineer to help take us to the next level. Our team is responsible for how merchants present themselves and their products to customers. We strive to offer fast, simple tools that meet merchants’ needs while also allowing for advanced customization when needed.
In this role, you will work with a team of engineers to build, maintain, and improve these tools. As staff level engineer you will be the technical lead for the team, touch all parts of the stack, and make critical design decisions. In this role you'll move fast, research, document, and think through problems to design and develop features for our customers.
Our stack includes: Python, Flask, Ruby, Jinja, ES6, Vue.js, Redis, Docker, GCP, Ansible, Memcached, Nginx

What you'll bring

Typically around 10+ years of relevant development experience in fast paced environments

A knack for engineering simple solutions to solve complex problems

Self driven; pragmatic; a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes

Ability to work remote-first in a high growth company

Expert knowledge of Python

Experience with Javascript, TypeScript or React

Experience leading a technical team as a Manager or hands-on Technical Lead

Experience with Cloud Platforms such as GCP or AWS

Experience with Docker, auto-scaling, pub-sub architectures, serverless environments
