About the Role:
This role sits in the Production Engineering department and Developer Experience (Learn & Develop) group, which provides AlayaCare Engineering with a smooth, efficient & fun way of working within the development lifecycle – Learning, Developing, Validating and Deploying. Developer Experience is an amplifier for efficiency, quality, and innovation across AlayaCare.
As a Staff Developer, you will be part of the Developer Experience group. You will be responsible for the vision, implementation, evolution and maintenance of the tooling that empowers developers to both deploy their code, and allows for their appropriate understanding of the risk involved to ship quality releases. Our CICD pipeline involves Github, CircleCI with custom scripts, GitOps through ArgoCD and Flux, GitHub and Slack Bots, Helm Charts and more.
-
You will be part of a team of 150+ employees dedicated to product development with engineering hubs in Toronto, Montreal, and Victoria
-
You will be working with your colleagues from the Deploy team, the other DevX sibling teams and your engineering manager.
-
You’ll be responsible for the design, architecture and importantly the advocacy for and conveyance of AlayaCare’s release pipeline.
-
You’ll anticipate problems around bottlenecks and inefficiencies developers are experiencing with our build and release pipeline “product”, and plan detailed, documented solutions to implement around them
-
You are excited and motivated to teach developers in engineering how they can best leverage our pipeline’s feedback loops to identify quality issues early in a release cycle and make the best decisions around deploying.
-
You’ll get our engineering teams to a point where they can safely deploy continuously.
-
AlayaCare Cloud is written in Python and PHP on the back-end, uses Vue.js on the front-end, and runs on AWS.
