We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Strategic Operations Manager to lead and oversee our strategic initiatives and operational functions. This role will lead cross-functional initiatives that are critical to 1Password’s growth trajectory, collaborating with senior leaders to achieve business objectives.  Leveraging their project management and strategic thinking, the Senior Strategic Operations Manager will guide and mentor team members, driving continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7-9+ years of experience in strategic operations and/or program management.
  • 1-2 years of people management experience is an asset. 
  • Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and driving execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Execution mindset and proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with thirst for identifying growth opportunities and a knack for identifying and solving ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to see the trees and the forest – can thrive in details but also zoom out to see the big picture.
  • Consistently seen as the go-to person for programs they lead with a track record for accountability and execution.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and change, with a can-do attitude and the belief in the art of the possible, not in the impossible.

What you can expect:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and drive execution across departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute key strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current processes and identify areas for improvement, proposing innovative solutions to enhance operations.
  • Translate high-level objectives into actionable plans and roadmaps and proactively adapt plans to meet evolving business needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making processes and ensuring recommendations are implemented.
  • Identify and communicate to leadership on progress, challenges and opportunities for strategic initiatives.
  • Drive change management initiatives by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure operational objectives are met.
  • Proactively addresses and resolves conflict to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Own and be held accountable for the success of the assigned initiatives.
  • This role may have direct reports in the future.
