What will you do?
The Security Specialist 2 will be part of a team to support USAID M/CIO’s Information Assurance transformation into a mature and fully integrated and adaptive Enterprise Information Assurance program. This position is responsible for providing investigation and analysis support to the client’s Cyber Forensics team. The Specialist will respond to investigation requests, conduct assigned investigations and produce detailed reports of findings.
Location:
You must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship. You must be able to pass and maintain a Secret clearance. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Remote work is available through this contract.
Responsibilities
- Identify, locate, preserve, secure, collect, prepare, review and produce facts, information, and materials for the purpose of producing evidence for use in potential legal processes.
- Investigate security incidents and determine the root cause of the incident.
- Analyze logs, network traffic and other data sources to identify the source of incidents.
- Support Ad Hoc taskings from Leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in systems security.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Active security clearance preferred or be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
