Senior Sales Development Representative, Public Sector

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies targeting Federal and State agencies by leveraging creative, out-of-the-box approaches to engage executive personas.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Field Marketers, and partners to identify opportunities and ensure alignment in sales efforts for the public sector.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets, including cold calls, emails, and meetings scheduled.
- Stay informed about government contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements, adapting outreach strategies to align with the public sector’s unique needs and timelines.
- Implement various campaign tactics, including email outreach, content creation, direct mail, social media engagement, webinars, and more, to creatively drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Support and manage multiple sales campaigns simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and effective communication with internal teams.
- Utilize CRM tools to accurately document interactions, track progress, and maintain a clean and up-to-date pipeline.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Government Affairs, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in the public sector.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, tailored messaging and value propositions for Federal and State executives.
- Curiosity and a strong willingness to learn, particularly in government procurement processes and AI/automation technologies.
- Highly motivated, driven, and goal-oriented, with the ability to self-start and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Creative problem-solver with a “find a way” mindset, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational structures within Federal and State agencies.
- Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple outreach campaigns and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders daily.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with Account Executives, marketers, partners, and cross-functional teams in the public sector space.
- Results-driven focus, ensuring efforts contribute to measurable outcomes like lead generation, pipeline development, and ROI for the public sector.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Salesforce, ChatGPT, GovSpend, and other tools used for government market intelligence and customer relationship management.
