We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective leadership and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight
-Collaborate with Stakeholders: This person will be the primary point of contact for a Federal customer, acting as their representative to the organization bringing up and issues or needs on behalf of the customer.
-Direct customer contact will occur regularly with their counterpart on the government side to ensure that their questions are answered and new feature requests are properly defined to the developer team.
-Define Test Strategies: Develop comprehensive test strategies and scenarios based on gathered requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
-Code Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and maintainability.
-Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert in software testing, providing guidance and insights to enhance testing practices.
-A significant portion of the QA work will be working with the larger QA team to automate the testing of the entire product suite.
-Testing Activities Oversight: Supervise all testing activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery of high-quality products.
-Process Development: Establish and refine processes, procedures, and standards that promote efficiency and effectiveness in QA operations.
-Quality Delivery: Commit to delivering top-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
-Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience both manual testing as well as automation.
-Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in the Python and PyTest.
-Software Testing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
-Must be comfortable working with Linux appliances and some system and OS configuration.
-Experience in network protocols, traffic generation and Gigamon or similar appliances are a huge plus.
-Familiarity with Standards: Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to quality assurance, including experience with test management tools and reporting applications.
