The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Mixmax, you will work with Product, Sales, Success, and Marketing teams to ensure Mixmax stands out in the sales engagement market. You will be the voice of the customer and an expert on our competitors, influencing the strategic narrative and creating compelling positioning and messaging to differentiate Mixmax.
Drive growth and positive sentiment for Mixmax through compelling positioning and messaging. Create powerful stories that differentiate Mixmax in the market and enable the sales team to win against competitors and the status quo.

Outcomes:

  • Define the strategic narrative Mixmax based on an understanding of customer needs, use cases, and market trends.
  • Become the trusted GTM partner to the product team and establish a continuous feedback loop from customer input, market trends, and competitors
  • Manage successful product launches including shaping positioning and messaging, creating marketing communications, collaborating on distribution, and preparing demos and sales enablement materials
  • Be seen as a thought leader and industry expert, staying up-to-date on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Design and deliver sales enablement sessions, collateral, and other materials for our sales, support, and customer success teams
  • Create engaging content including videos, walk-throughs, screenshots, etc. to best communicate Mixmax’s value and distribute across various channels such as email, the website, social media, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop messaging and positioning for all buyer personas
  • Own the product launch process for new features and packages
  • Manage review generation and Mixmax profiles on review sites
  • Be the voice of the customer for the organization, bringing their insight and feedback to other departments
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation, product development, and campaigns to drive customer engagement with Mixmax
  • Collaborate with the Product and Data teams to identify customer trends and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell at all customer lifecycle stages.
  • Manage sales enablement sessions
  • Create and maintain competitive battle cards and positioning to increase sales velocity and win rates
  • Support content creation for product blogs, newsletters, social posts, product webinars, and features on the website
  • Create persona-based messaging maps to enable the Mixmax team

Within Three Months, You’ll:

  • Gain a solid understanding of the product, market space & competition
  • Refine the product launch process
  • Collaborate on the strategic narrative for Mixmax to help differentiate the product and guide the product roadmap
  • Update the messaging framework to align with the strategic narrative
  • Execute upcoming product launch projects
  • Complete an audit of existing product assets (sales collateral, web content, battlecards, sales training, launch materials, etc.)
  • Put together a plan to create and update product assets

Within Six Months, You’ll:

  • Closely collaborate with our sales team to identify opportunities to increase win rates, 
  • Create presentations, email templates, guides and videos to empower the sales team
  • Own the product launch strategy for new releases
  • Have a systematic approach for updating product content as needed, either from internal or market changes
  • Manage a defined, scalable process for gathering and creating new customer reviews, testimonials, and case studies
  • Maintain and grow the messaging framework

Skills and Background:

  • 6+ years in a product marketing role for B2B SaaS
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for internal and external audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand product usage trends, analyze the performance of campaigns and messaging
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Able to collect qualitative insights on customer needs and pain points to inform positioning and messaging to win deals
  • Able to translate complex features and use cases into positioning that drives action across all personas
  • Highly organized and metrics-driven
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed, cross-functional team
  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
  • Acts without being told what to do
  • Brings/shares new ideas

It’s Also Awesome (But 100% Not a Requirement!) For You To Have:

  • Previous experience in marketing automation technology such as HubSpot
  • Experience working with Salesforce to build reports and tease out insights
  • Prior experience at a product-led growth company
  • Prior startup experience
