As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work as part of Infrastructure team to build automation and tools to deploy, monitor and maintain platform health. Most of the work involves improving our event driven micro-service platform based on EKS/K8s which was launched in 2024 and has EKS (Kubernetes) and knative at it’s core. You will support dev teams as they migrate their existing workloads to EKS platform, ensuring world-class infrastructure/platform solutions and develop, deploy and monitor their services independently from the rest of the system.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Lead the effort in ensuring reliability of the platform  
  • Build/improve logging, monitoring and alerting solutions.  
  • Identify weaknesses in the infrastructure and implement changes.  
  • Troubleshoot production issues and steer them to resolution along with the Engineering team. 
  • Be part of on-call rotation to support production incidents.  
  • Supporting teams hosting their services on our platform. 

Requirements

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in supporting Kubernetes platform in Production environment. 
  • Proven experience in managing AWS cloud services. 
  • Operations background where you have successfully supported a platform at scale. 
  • Experience in logging, monitoring and alerting solutions e.g. Datadog, Elasticsearch etc.  
  • Experience automating infrastructure management with IaaC tools like terraform or cdk.  
  • Familiar with GitOps way of working. 
  • Software development background. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science and/or related work experience.  
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD is preferred
  • Working knowledge on GCP is beneficial
  • Experience with distributed databases like TiDB is desirable
  • Familiar with IDP tools like Backstage, Port or similar will be highly regarded  
  • AWS networking basics will be an advantage
