The Senior Coordinator, Asia & Central America provides direct support to the Senior Regional Director, Asia & Central America, ensuring smooth execution of country programs, compliance with organizational policies, and efficient project management. This role serves as a critical link between country offices, regional leadership, and headquarters, assisting in operational coordination, financial tracking, and donor compliance. This role plays a critical enabling function in ensuring effective execution of regional strategies, supporting Sr. Regional Director in seamless coordination between technical and delivery teams, and efficient project and knowledge management across Asia and Central America.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Program Support
- Assist in implementing and monitoring regional and country strategies.
- Track deliverables and deadlines for country operations, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
- Support Country Directors with administrative and operational processes.
- Coordinate internal communications between country teams and regional leadership.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for country program activities.
Project & Grant Management
- Assist in contract and grant compliance, ensuring donor regulations are met.
- Support developing and tracking budgets, expenditures and financial reports.
- Maintain and update project management systems, including Salesforce and Google Drive.
- Help draft and review subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and procurement documents.
- Support the Senior Regional Director and Technical team, as needed, in tracking progress against strategic priorities, technical work plans, and cross-cutting themes such as GESI and climate resilience, and assist with compiling updates on key developments.
- Serve as project coordinator for regional initiatives and special projects, maintaining work plans, timelines, and reporting milestones.
Knowledge Management & Reporting
- Organize and maintain programmatic data and documents for country portfolios.
- Support preparing donor reports and internal documentation.
- Track and analyze program performance indicators.
- Coordinate inputs for learning agendas, outcome tracking, and performance metrics in collaboration with MERL teams.
- Support implementation and maintenance of regional knowledge management systems. Ensure accessibility and usability of key documents and data.
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate with global and regional coordinators to ensure consistency in tools, systems, and processes across regions.
- Coordinate travel and event logistics for regional leadership and country teams.
- Support the preparation of regional meetings, presentations, and board reports.
- Provide input into process improvements and efficiency measures.
- Support onboarding and peer learning opportunities across regional country teams.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in nonprofit operations or project coordination.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with international development donors (EU, SIDA, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish, Khmer, Bangli, or Nepalese is an asset.
- Experience working with cross-cultural teams in Asia and/or Central America.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and database systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, business administration, or related fields is an asset.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.

Salary Range: $62,000 to $65,000
*The posted salary range for this role is based on compensation benchmarking for US candidates. If you live outside of the United States, we will determine a competitive salary range based on your location & third-party benchmarking data.
Note: Some benefits and total compensation amounts may be affected by recent Executive Orders related to USAID. Please speak with HR to discuss the impact for 2025 and beyond.
Location: Ideal candidate will live in the same timezone as the Country Offices they serve, or in the United States with the ability to travel frequently to iDE offices (Honduras, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, Vietnam)
