Requirements

  • Min. 1-year hands-on experience in leading at least a mid-sized team (10 people or more)
  • Experience in working within HR, Project Management, Scrum, or other IT-related functions for at least 3 years
  • Experience in extensive cooperation with technical teams (of any kind but not limited to just one, short event) resulting in at least a basic understanding of modern software technology
  • Very good command of written and spoken Polish and English,
  • Outstanding communicating and listening skills; being able to run 1-on-1 meetings as well as team meetings; not afraid of difficult topics; matters you’re not an expert in,
  • Can develop strong working relationships across various functions (sales, project management, software development teams, etc.) and communicate with them efficiently,
  • Highly organized and can work with multiple threads but at the same time is responsive to challenges and changing needs,
  • Able to provide guidance and advice on personal development matters,
  • Can set clear goals for others and evaluate the outcomes and general performance,
  • Experience with working with data and metrics.

Job Description:

People Side Responsibilities:

  • managing 20-30 developers
  • supporting full employee-life-cycle inside the company:
    • recruitment 
    • onboarding, 
    • learning & development (career path included)
    • reward & performance management
    • recognition, 
    • benefits, 
    • offboarding – conduct dedicated checklist
  • doing regular (minimum cadence:: once a month) calls (1o1, o3s) with team members whilst monitoring their:
    • progress of their skills and our data on their skills and potential assignments capabilities
    • happiness index & overall well-being & potential flight risks
    • holidays and sick-leaves
    • working hours and overtime 
  • performing f2f (performance review) process
  • working together with Staff Engineering Manager on:
    • being involved in soft skills interviews and support recruiting-related decisions,
    • making budget allocation decisions (both recognition related, development related, salary related – any budgets available for the teams)
  • analyzing, supporting, and facilitating business escalation cases coming from our projects

Scheduling Side Responsibilities:

  • assigning the optimal internal talent candidates to work in projects – taking into consideration both: project requirements and our talent capabilities – in our commercial projects and internal assignments
  • handling assignments for any rotations, changes, or holiday-replacements
  • support and facilitate together with necessary stakeholders assignment-related conflicts: multi-bookings, end/start dates mismatch, lack of talent – propose own resolutions based on data
  • working together with Staff Engineering Manager on:
    • planning and analyzing the future of the pipeline and its potential candidates
    • defining what we can handle internally, externally and when we can recruit internally
    • managing our internal talent work – bench management, and drive efforts into direction aligned with company needs
  • being our processes guardian and keeping data accurate: dates, deprecated-assignments, pipelines cleanup, profiles and having
  • acting as a trusted advisor and having an overview on available talent, skills, and capabilities of given technology stack – and help with our scheduling processes inside the company
