The role:
- The PX Strategy & Employee Engagement Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of Fetch’s People Experience team.
- Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this individual will lead internal communication strategies, oversee critical data analysis and performance metrics, and drive alignment across all functions within People Experience. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution, ensuring the organization’s goals are met through data-driven insights and clear, consistent communication.
Scope of responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of People Experience strategies in alignment with company-wide goals, partnering closely with senior leadership to define long-term objectives.
- Data-driven Decision-Making: Analyze and interpret data from various sources (employee engagement surveys, performance metrics, recruiting metrics, etc.) to provide actionable insights and recommendations that improve the effectiveness of People Experience initiatives.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends and benchmark performance against competitors to inform strategic adjustments and optimizations.
Operational Excellence & Analysis:
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee engagement, internal communication effectiveness, and overall People Experience strategy. Present findings to the executive team to drive strategic decision-making.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with the People Analytics team to ensure seamless integration of data insights into the People Experience strategy, influencing talent management, retention, and organizational development efforts.
- Gap Analysis: Identify gaps in internal processes and systems. Recommend and implement operational improvements that drive efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
Project & Program Management:
- High-Impact Projects: Oversee the execution of key strategic projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment between the People Experience strategy and broader business objectives, tracking progress and reporting back to leadership.
Support Internal Engagement
- Communications Strategy: Collaborate with our PR and Marketing team to build strategy and share execution of internal communications and engagement across the organization, ensuring clarity and alignment of messaging in support of key company and People Experience goals.
- Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis preparedness and response plans for internal communications, ensuring the organization is equipped to handle unexpected events with clarity and coordination.
- Change Management: Partner with HR, functional leaders, and the broader People Experience team to manage communications around organizational changes, ensuring alignment and engagement at all levels of the company.
- Content Creation: Partner with Marketing and PR to develop an internal communications calendar, managing key touchpoints and ensuring the delivery of relevant and engaging content that aligns with Fetch’s culture and business priorities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, internal communications, HR, or a related field
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: 5+ years supporting HR/People, Finance, Operations, or Advertising teams in a high-growth environment.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills with a focus on performance metrics and predictive analytics. Experience working with employee engagement data, operational KPIs, and change management metrics.
- Communication Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute internal communication strategies that resonate with employees at all levels of the organization. Also able to professionally operate with and manage confidential information, using judgment and discretion before determining when and how to communicate information.
- Operational Rigor: Able to strategize and execute high-impact, special projects with multiple stakeholders across the organization, prioritizing effectively.
- Passionate Data-Driven Storyteller: Craft compelling narratives backed by data to effectively communicate complex strategies, foster engagement, and strengthen Fetch’s people-first culture.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as Google Sheets, Excel and data visualization platforms. Plus but not required if you have experience with UKG, Lattice or related workforce planning and development systems.
- Presentation Skills: Adept at presenting data-driven insights to executives, facilitating strategic conversations, and driving decision-making based on analysis.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience leading diverse teams and managing complex projects in a matrixed organization.
Compensation:
At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $195,000 – $240,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
