What does a Proposal Analyst do?

The Proposal Analyst will contribute to the company’s growth and profitability through the development of strategic RFx and/or bid solicitation responses, and other marketing and business development initiatives as needed. Operating as a team player, the Proposal Analyst will report to the Proposal Director, serve as a team lead and member of the Proposal Team, and work collaboratively with both the field organization and Business Development Team in a fast- paced, deadline-driven environment.

The Proposal Analyst will be among the first points of contact for the field organization when the Proposal Team receives and vets a request for a response to a strategic RFx or other bid solicitations. This requires strong organizational and time management skills, superior writing/editing skills, research and analysis, and the ability to juggle multiple ever-changing priorities on a day-to-day basis.

What does your day-to-day look like?

  • Work directly with the Proposal Manager, Proposal Team, field organization and members of the Business Development Team to prioritize and develop strategic responses to RFx documents and other solicitations
  • Act as a Team Lead providing support and guidance for other Proposal Team members and assist with pipeline assignment and supervision
  • Gather and analyze business intelligence to assist in forming proposal strategies
  • Set, enforce, and maintain timelines/deadlines for successful completion of proposal
  • Provide quality control review and editing of all proposal and presentation material
  • Gather information to draft and customize strategic responses to solicitations with input from key stakeholders and/or subject matter experts as assigned
  • Develop and update resumes/bios of office personnel consistent with company standards
  • Assist in maintaining boilerplate information of frequently used company information within repository
  • Responsible for tracking all aspects of the RFP and bid submittal process
  • Provide all administrative aspects of proposal development and delivery including production, shipping and archiving of materials as needed
  • Responsible for the development and production of other related projects as identified and assigned

What will you possess?

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related area
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in the same or in a similar role, preferably working in the writing, production and coordination of proposals
  • Healthcare and/or healthcare staffing industry experience preferred
  • A foundational understanding of proposal industry best practices
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience with proposal software (RFPIO preferably), Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid time-management and organizational skills with the ability to work on a variety of projects at any given time
  • Strong writing and communication skills including knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
  • Ability to take disparate information from multiple sources, aggregate and assemble it together to create a professional document
  • Must show attention to detail and process orientation
  • Ability to effectively work independently and with other team members in a virtual environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of company confidentiality
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
  • Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required

Salary Range: $58,000 – $85,000 + bonus
