What will you do?
 
The Privacy Specialist t 1 will be part of a team to support USAID M/CIO’s Information Assurance transformation into a mature and fully integrated and adaptive Enterprise Information Assurance program. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to start their career in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Privacy Specialist, you
will support the agency’s Cybersecurity Privacy team to promote an overall culture of privacy throughout the organization.

You must be legally eligible to work in the United States.  Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship.  You must be able to pass and maintain a Secret clearance. Preferences will be given to candidates who reside in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Remote work is available through this contract.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation review of Privacy Impact Assessment/Privacy Threshold Analysis, SORNs, SHRs, ODPAs, and other forms and surveys.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the agency, including CSIRT to prevent and respond to incidents involving privacy data.
  • Support privacy topics and inputs for briefings to senior leaders including the SAOP, CPO, and CIO.  
  • Responsible for mentoring and development of junior privacy analysts as well as providing strategicrecommendations to the agency’s Privacy Branch Chief.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience, plus at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
