About The Role:
- Works with senior Power Engineers and other Infrastructure / Data Center colleagues to develop design documents for mission critical infrastructure.
- Prepares and/or reviews technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and company / customer requirements.
- Contributes to power usage modeling and failover analysis.
- Monitors IT / data center equipment to assess power consumption and impact on hardware performance.
- Troubleshoots, conducts root cause analysis and creates corrective action documentation for power-related site / equipment failures.
- Develops and performs component and system level testing.
- Contributes to prototype development and assembly of prototype systems.
- Adheres to company, client, industry and other relevant codes, standards and project design requirements.
- Experience with tools/apps such as Grafana, Prometheus, Snowflake.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Follow Myriad360’s program and project management processes and methodologies to deliver successful client-focused outcomes.
- Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience: Prior experience in power engineering or similar operational data analysis roles.
Candidates with strong skills in data analysis and monitoring tools, even without specific power engineering qualifications, will also be considered.
Qualification:
- Strong experience with Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, and other monitoring tools.
- Proficient in Go, Python, and SQL programming. Hands-on experience with automation systems, including SCADA, SNMP, MODBUS, and OPCUA.
- Solid understanding of power engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (similar degrees will be considered).
Details:
- Location: Remote (Must be available for collaboration in NYC Time zone)
Contract Duration: Full-time (40 hours per week, flexible for 3- or 5-day models)
Rate: Commensurate with experience. - Duration: 6 to 12 months+ (possibility of extension)
Travel: None - Onboarding: Contractors will be required to complete a background check and provide their own technology
Pursuant to the NYC Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate is $50.00 to $80.00 (on 1099). Compensation in other geographies may vary.
