Position Overview 

As the Manager, Sales Development  at Valimail, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales organization by leading and developing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coaching SDRs to excel in their roles, while also setting and achieving ambitious team goals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about building and nurturing high-performing teams, is metric-driven, and has a proven track record of success in a similar role.

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Lead and manage a team of SDRs, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the SDR team's performance, demonstrating best practices, including prospecting techniques, outreach cadences, and targeted messaging 
  • Establish and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the SDR team and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales leadership team to ensure alignment between the SDR and other sales teams, enabling the lead handoff process.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and other sales enablement tools to manage and optimize the SDR workflow and drive efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in email authentication and security, and incorporate them into the team's strategies and processes.
  • Work in collaboration with Content and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging to convert inbound interest into qualified pipeline

About You: 

  • 5+ years of direct Sales experience, with at least 1+ year of leadership experience. 
  • Track record of leading a team that consistently meets/exceeds goals. 
  • You foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and personal growth.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience building out new SDR team segments, including processes and strategies
  • Proven track record of implementing and executing efficiency measures in a high volume lead flow model.
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.

  • Experience in Cybersecurity
  • Experience in Zoominfo and Outreach, Salesloft, or similar sales engagement platform
