The Manager of Affordability will be responsible for operationalizing and monitoring the programs and strategies that support the Affordability initiative. This initiative includes key areas of Wellness, Attribution, Transitions of Care, Post-Emergency Department Care, among others. This work is essential in achieving  two company Key Results (KR) and multiple sub-KRs. 
In this role, the Manager will collaborate closely  with cross-functional teams, including  Product, Analytics, and Practice Success, to ensure that platform improvements align with performance goals.  The role will provide a  business-focused perspective on achieving revenue objectives, contributing to the collaborative problem identification and solution development across departments. Success in this role requires a broad understanding and experience across the various Affordability initiatives. 

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee and manage metrics for assigned initiatives, including limitations of measurements, performance trends, and segmented goals. Collaborate with the Program Manager to keep the SVP of Affordability and direct manager informed. 
  • Engage the Field in identifying blockers and surfacing best practices that impact performance across Affordability initiatives; elevate to Sr. Director as needed.
  • Facilitate messaging to the Field of the opportunities for improvement through existing channels (e.g., newsletters, practice engagement sessions, others).
  • Partner with Operating Model, Business Intelligence, and Practice Adoption on all Alert and Action creation and performance monitoring in the Affordability Initiatives.
  • Coordinate with A+ and Practice Engagement to develop and deploy outreach offerings in service of Affordability initiatives.
  • Prepare materials (data, messaging, consolidated feedback) needed by Sr. Director for leadership at KR Steering Committeees.
  • Develop expertise in Affordability initiative domains with intent of serving as an additional subject matter expert (SME) when cross functional department opportunities are presented.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree  in business, health administration and/or public policy.
  • 8+ years of value-based care or health care transformation experience.
  • 3+ years management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of value based care and other health care business models.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues across an organization.
  • Clinical and/or operational experience directly supporting primary care practices..
  • Experience and expertise explaining complex business concepts to stakeholders decision makers. 
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree(s) in business, health administration and/or public policy.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
