We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Legal Administrator to join our team. Working as a key member of our Legal & Governance team, you will be providing administrative assistance and support to our Legal Assistant, Legal & Governance Manager, and Head of Legal & Governance.

Reporting to our Legal & Governance Manager, you will bring an efficient and organised approach to your varied workload, you will maintain and update all appropriate legal department records and databases with a robust legal administration approach. You will undertake legal research as required and provide support on legal queries, commercial contracts, due diligence, data protection, regulatory risk & compliance and knowledge management.

Key Additional duties include:  

  •  Developing strong relationships across the Legal & Governance team and the MM global family.
  • Developing and maintaining databases, files and trackers documenting the MMI approach across a variety of key areas.
  • Creating pro-forma documentation and templates and other key legal resources for use by MMI, National Affiliates and Programme subsidiaries.
  • Managing our Legal inbox and draft legal updates for colleagues.
  • Maintaining legal resources via SharePoint.

About you:

With excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, you will be a confident problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, varied role. A legal qualification would be desirable but not essential and our ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven ability to work on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Demonstrable working experience in a similar role and good legal and administration experience
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Highly competent user of MS Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and ability to get up to speed quickly with other packages used by the legal team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, work effectively as part of a team, and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being flexible in approach to meet the requirements of the organisation.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise logically and effectively.
  • Strong personal integrity with a solutions focussed approach and experience of working with sensitive documentation.

We have a remote-first approach to work and are happy for you to work remotely and flexibly, in a way that best supports your work life balance, we also have an office near Glasgow city centre for those who live nearby and would like to work from here occasionally or on a regular basis.
