Do you enjoy guiding a team toward solving challenges at an enterprise scale? We are looking for a talented Lead SDET to join our rapidly growing Development team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and conveying software concepts to developers and quality assurance testers alike. 
You will take lead in the development of automation-based solutions, as well as all other testing efforts based on client deliverable dates and requirements. You will participate in product specification reviews, and assist the product team in writing/reviewing test plans based on user acceptance criteria. You will also perform code troubleshooting, debugging, and refactoring as needed, and provide solutions to complex problems through iteration and collaboration. 
Your responsibilities will also include developing best practices in the detection, documentation, and tracking of issues within an Agile/Scrum environment. You will create test automation to ensure key functionality across the application(s) being developed by the team. 
Our team includes experienced engineers with an appreciation for business strategy, software development, and testing in all forms. As a successful Lead SDET, you are expected to have expertise and influence into the project structure and testing suite of the products we build. Within three months, you will have successfully integrated with the team, implementing consistent testing procedures and processes which ensure the success of the overall project. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 – 12 years’ experience in Java programming 
  • Proven technical leadership 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills 
  • Team-oriented, solutions-driven approach to development and testing 
  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies 
  • Experience with API (RESTful) testing strategies and tools (ex: Postman) 
  • Ability to write and understand complex database queries  
  • Experience with Github, Bitbucket, JIRA, and/or other continuous integration systems 
  • Ability to create technical communication documents
