Cruise’s Ridehail Business Unit (RBU) The RBU is responsible for delivering a profitable and scalable ridehail service that customers love and use repeatedly. The RBU sets the direction of the ridehail business, leads commercial activity in our markets, and works cross-functionally to expand and enhance the Cruise ridehail service and strengthen our relationship with customers.

 

About the Role We are looking for a Growth Manager to help manage commercialization for Cruise’s autonomous ridehail business. You will interface closely with Product, Marketing, Data Science, and local Market Operations leads in leading user growth success of our ridehail business at a per-market level. This role is expected to develop a mastery on local market dynamics between fleet supply, service quality, and user growth & engagement. You will use this understanding to help design market launch strategies and other forward-looking plans and be responsible for the execution. This role will drive day-to-day user growth & management initiatives as well as perform in-depth analyses to design and iterate on strategies. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, is a structured thinker and planner, and is comfortable with ambiguity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Help develop and execute against an ambitious roadmap of business expansion in our ridehail markets with consideration to service expansion, fleet growth, and revenue targets

  • Partner with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders to launch new markets; design and implement plans to expand our service and scale user demand in line with fleet growth and service performance 

  • Leverage your local knowledge of markets that Cruise operates in to capitalize on growth opportunities, including on-the-ground tactics

  • Develop models, analyses, and dashboards using large data sets to report on and improve the performance of our service expansion, rider growth, and revenue management efforts

  • Analyze the end-to-end Rider user journey to identify opportunities improve the user experience

  • Work with technical partners to design and implement experiments that optimize growth such as rider comms, incentives, and other growth tactics

  • Develop and lead processes and playbooks that help scale ridehail service management across multiple markets

What you must have:

  • 4+ years in operations, strategy, business consulting, or similar analytical role at a technology company.

  • SQL proficiency and considerable experience with data visualization tools. Comfortable independently learning new data tables and writing/validating complex queries of your own design.

  • Excellent communications skills and an ability to drive storytelling and presentation up to C-level internal audiences across functions.

  • Exceptional program and stakeholder management skills, ability to plan and execute with minimal guidance

  • Bachelor’s degree or proven experience

 

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience in ridehail or other marketplace/on-demand businesses

  • Proficiency with Python and other Data Science/Engineering tools, workflows, and analysis methods

The salary range for this position is $142,800 – $210,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
