We are looking for an engineering intern to help our Registration team build products and features that create valuable and engaging experiences for our Glassdoor users in an effort to achieve our mission of making worklife better.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be working on features that help millions of professionals discover Glassdoor, register and onboard on their path towards finding a company and job that they love. The Registration team seeks to further radical transparency and grow the Glassdoor community by building out and iterating on our community onboarding and content contribution flows – core features of Glassdoor! This includes everything from the community onboarding experience to the salaries, reviews, interviews, and benefits contribution surveys.
Hourly pay rate
$40.00 / hour
What You’ll Do
- Help build features that our users love to use
- Solve engineering problems, small and large
- Take end-to-end ownership of features by writing well-written, maintainable code supported by unit tests
- Work closely with your Technical Lead and Product owner to help clarify requirements and accurately define expectation
- Participate in planning sessions and other team meetings
- Gain working experience in agile methodologies and rapid development.
What You’ll Bring.
- Knowledge of both OOP and functional programming and design patterns
- Experience developing in Node.js and React.js, with an excellent understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
- Quick learner, self-motivated to grow
- Knowledge in Next.js, TypeScript and GraphQL is a plus
- Past experience building web applications and/or web services is a plus
Glassdoor Internship Program
