We are Loadsmart and we have recently created a new Vice President Digital Sales. We are a growth-stage start-up technology company valued at over $1 billion (a tech unicorn), led by a leadership team of logistics veterans and experienced engineers, product leaders and data scientists continuing to disrupt this $800 billion industry. 
Loadsmart is looking to continue to fuel its incremental growth by accelerating the acquisition of new customers on our digital solutions. We are seeking an experienced sales executive to lead our Digital Sales team. This is a critical sales department that is growing in importance to our overall business. The person in this position will lead an established team of Sales Directors and Managers.  The digital team is composed of 60 salespeople.  The expectation of this position is to build on the current established structure and accelerate our revenue streams. We look for the VP of Digital Sales to provide both the combination of strategic direction and tactical execution along with ability to work across departments including Marketing, Product,  Customer Success and Human Resources.

LOCATION: Chicago/Remote

What you get to do:

  • Build and lead our sales teams across all of our SaaS products offerings
  • Drive SaaS sales revenues and achieve the goals set out in operating plans
  • Accelerate sales by executing on existing plans through the addition of SDRs 
  • Increase focus on sales into enterprise accounts
  • Acquire a full understanding of our solution, our value proposition, and the customer condition
  • Be highly proficient at selling our solution especially at the executive level of enterprise shippers
  • Develop sales playbooks, objection handling techniques 
  • Facilitate effective communications with the Account Executive team 
  • Manage the effective use of internal tool to provide on-going of sales activity and results reporting to Senior Leadership 
  • Work closely with Rev Ops and Sales Enablement to prioritize the Digital Sales goals and objectives 
  • Identify and document staff needs and professional development and career paths for the team

Valuable Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years in Senior Sales Leadership positions (VP or Sr, Director)
  • 3 – 5+ years of Software/SaaS sales 
  • Experience Managing Sales of 50+ people
  • Outstanding track record of consistently meeting / exceeding sales quotas as a sales leader.
  • Proven aptitude for managing pipelines, forecasting, territory planning, daily/weekly check-ins and sales KPIs.
  • Strong understanding sales methodologies and influencing skills; ability to negotiate and build strong business relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience with Salesforce is required
  • Experience in logistics industry a plus but not required
  • Sales (had to have actively sold/carried a quota in their career)
  • Management of teams
