As the Variable Compensation Specialist, you will assist in developing and administering sales incentive programs that motivate our global sales team to succeed. As a member of our growing Total Rewards team you will have visibility across our entire sales organization and collaborate closely with sales leadership, strategy, and operations. You will be pivotal in continuing to build and evolve scalable processes for running a world class sales compensation program and instrumental in building out new compensation plans to align to our strategic initiatives, and auditing and analyzing performance results. You will play a critical role in the implementation and ongoing management of the Sales Performance Management platform. 

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales compensation, related sales operations, finance, or total rewards functions.
  • You have prior experience driving and scaling complex, cross-functional, data intensive processes.
  • You’re a clear and thoughtful communicator in discussing and sharing sensitive performance and compensation data with a range of business functions.
  • Prior experience with Varicent or other sales performance management software (CaptivateIQ, Xactly) is strongly preferred.
  • You sweat the details and always maintain a high level of integrity in your work.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required for this role.


  • Ownership for calculating commissions, and variable compensation payments. 
  • Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual variable compensation and commission processes.
  • Create and issue compensation plan and quota statements to the global sales organization.
  • Collaborate with People & Experience, Revenue Operations, Finance, and sales leadership to effectively manage process, and impact program and policy changes.
  • Develop and manage governance processes and documentation; take a leadership role in operationalizing variable compensation and commission programs.
  • Prepare detailed analysis, data models, and forecasting to evaluate plan effectiveness, drive plan enhancements, and deliver best in class commission and variable compensation plans.
  • Research and resolve crediting and commission questions, including calculating and processing adjustments in the commission system.
  • Develop and deliver training, commission policy and process and related documentation to the global sales teams.  Provides training and education to the Talent, People & Experience teams to increase understanding of our compensation systems and programs.
