We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our QE team. This role is for someone who is competent with using different python coding techniques to solve problems.  You will work with Big Data to solve a wide variety of coding challenges such as testing a UI, an API, different data types and ML modeling algorithms.
You will work closely with the SDET Lead to continue building and improving the test framework with a focus on coverage for the different components of our engineering stack.  Some of the tools you will be working with are: python 3.9+, pytest, selenium, SQL, and python pandas big data library. 

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in team based goals for highly efficient and visible automated testing. This includes a broad range of coverage both close to development and as part of ecosystem validation.
  • Using Python 3.9+, contribute code for increasing automated test coverage and quality to the automation test framework at Collective[i]
  • Assist in triaging test failures,  understanding root cause and working 
  • toward resolution and continuous improvement
  • Envision, design and develop techniques that increase Collective[i]’s ability to consistently understand and trust automated based results.
  • Give and receive feedback on code contributions in order to continue learning and improving your craft

Qualifiications

  • Intermediate python programming
  • Qualification background knowledge and understanding
  • 4+ years on job experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Understanding of  CI/CD development process 
  • Automation test framework experience a plus

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to own and implement automated test strategies for complex data heavy applications
  • A passion for learning, through asking questions, being proactive and communicating directly
  • A desire to ask ‘I Wonder’ questions that enable your curiosity to lead to new developments and enhanced patterns for Collective[i]’s main mission
