Fluxx is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager (PM) to join the Customer Experience team. The Project Manager plays a critical role on the Customer Onboarding Team. This role operates as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for the customer during the implementation of the Fluxx platform. You will lead, oversee, and drive all aspects of project management relentlessly and professionally, from project planning and initiation through the implementation lifecycle, assuming accountability for all end results.

The Project Manager is a team player who is comfortable and eager to take on additional responsibilities and pinch-hit on whatever comes up through the project or for the team (e.g., supporting demos, refining/developing new templates for reporting project milestones, etc.).

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in a customer-facing capacity, thriving in the areas of project management and SaaS implementation. 

How you will make an impact/What you will do:

  • Be well-versed and experienced in all aspects of project management. You must know: 1) how to execute projects according to a determined timeline, methodology, scope, and budget, 2) how to track and report on progress to Fluxx management and with the customer project team and key stakeholders, 3) how to flag, mitigate, and manage risks 4) when to diffuse issues or risks and when to escalate them to oversight, and 5) how to maintain quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Overall, upholding the core tenets of project management discipline inside and out. 
  • Be a super awesome communicator, meaning you understand the significance and appropriate use of tone and mediums based on circumstance and audience and proactively communicate with the customer and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate sessions with project stakeholders to outline scope, goals, deliverables, resource needs, and timelines, and do it all with confidence and a smile
  • Serve as the face of the organization to the customer and address all requests, small or large in a timely and professional manner
  • Facilitate solution design sessions with customers and turn the information gathered in these sessions into functional requirements
  • Have the ability to skillfully push back on customer requests and say no while gaining their trust and consensus around tough decisions
  • Be ready, willing, and able to track and document everything that happens on the project, then report on it like clockwork to the project team and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and manage updates needed to the project scope contracts, process change orders when it is appropriate, and communicate with the customer effectively to finalize. 
  • Be eager and able to help develop tools, best practices, and documentation for project management to support team skill development and continuous process improvements
  • Willing to be hands-on, supporting your team with testing, requirements gathering, and documentation
  • Be a cross-functional team player who can effectively breakdown silos to get what you need and support successful project execution

What you bring to the team/ About you:

  • Proven professional project management or relevant experience, which includes at least 2 years experience in project managing in the following areas 1) managing SAAS software projects, 2) participating in and/or driving implementations, and 3) working in a customer-facing project role.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, quickly process information, and demonstrate a dedication to ensuring and maintaining the quality of the end product   
  • Inherent ability to think two (maybe even three) steps ahead of the customer and take proactive steps to address roadblocks, issues, and distractions internally and with the customer
  • Awesome at being a human – a team player, even temperament, empathetic, and  a good collaborator
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • A track record of being a team player and leader with strong interpersonal skills and a talent for collaboration
  • Experience with managing key stakeholders and working with senior leadership
  • Be a problem-solver who has a demonstrated ability to overcome challenges with creative solutions
  • Excel at both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work on many projects concurrently to manage tight deadlines, and a willingness to accept a wide range of responsibilities
  • Be a self-motivated, independent worker and thinker with a positive attitude
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with productivity tools 
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
  • PMP is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel up 10%-25% per month
  • Familiarity with grant management processes is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with Foundation, Non-profit, and Social Impact space a plus
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, project management tools, Jira products, and grantmaking software is also a plus

Salary:

Fluxx is hiring for a level ICP3 Project Manager

The expected annual base salary is $96,000-125,000. 

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on, but not limited to (a) location; (b) individual candidate skills and qualifications; (c) individual candidate experience; and (d) level hired for. 

Fluxx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. We take a market-based approach to pay which may vary depending on your location. Locations are categorized into one of three zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic location and our compensation philosophy.
