PAR Technology is seeking qualified Manufacturing Engineer to support our Restaurant / Retail business unit.  The incumbent will support the Manufacturing business unit, serving as a major contributor to the greater Operations Team at PAR. This Manufacturing Engineer will communicate needs proactively with the business unit management, and seek to develop optimized, integrated solutions that leverage internal and external resource.


Why We Need You

  • Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training. Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
  • Assists Manufacturing Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
  • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Design new Lean Six Sigma concepts or evaluate and implement existing concepts and best-in-class manufacturing techniques.
  • Incorporate engineering specifications into design, process, or techniques and provide feedback to capture lessons learned.
  • Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Ensure solutions achieve required quality levels, reliability, and consistency.
  • Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
  • Oversight and monitor performance of contract manufacturers including using LEAN, Six Sigma tools and practices for day-to-day problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Support internal and QMS audits.


What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum two-five (2-5) years Mechanical/ Electrical engineering experience in a Manufacturing setting


  • Make decisions and recommendations concerning all aspects of the assigned function whether of a routine or a non-routine nature.
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of subordinates; makes recommendations concerning improvements in procedures, policies, and systems.
  • Provides summary and detail information as required on all phases of activity to management.
  • Communicates on matters of considerable importance to the company, requiring tact, diplomacy, and persuasion.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.
