SELECT* is a professional team of recruiting specialists who are searching talents in Ukraine, Europe, and the USA. Currently, we are looking for a Lead C++ developer for one of our clients — SQUAD company (ex Ring Ukraine) that develops products for home security.
SQUAD is looking for a Team Lead to take a leadership role in supporting firmware development for a variety of product families.
The work is interesting and complex and you will remain hands-on in providing technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions, completing design reviews, and prioritizing tasks.
This position requires broad engineering competence and in-depth technical knowledge of the firmware development life cycle. The ideal candidate has the skills, experience, and knowledge to manage a technical team, to resolve potential production technical issues, to define system architectures and write high-quality code.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with a firmware development team to build technical solutions and implement new features used across a variety of product families
- Instill best practices for firmware development and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Define detailed technical requirements from high level product requirements
- Plan firmware development, divide the workload into tasks among team and support and track the quality and speed of execution
- Ensure the stability of the production development team
- Drive and facilitate innovation within the team, including in training and hiring new members
- Facilitate individual growth of your team’s contributors
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience, as a developer
- 3+ years of management experience leading firmware development teams
- Strong C, C++ knowledge and CS fundamentals
- Knowledge of Linux and multithreading programming
- Ability to understand and see business logic and prioritize code development accordingly
- Good written and spoken English
