About the job

This position is needed to help support the R&D business units by providing key financial insights, partnering with business leads to conduct ROI/NPV analyses, and managing budgets to best inform leaders.

Our team supports the R&D arm of Twilio. From building financial models to track cost effectiveness to partnering with business leaders, you will gain a world of knowledge while helping the company make key decisions by providing financial insights to stakeholders. 


In this role, you’ll:

  • Performs month-end review of results to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and communicate variance analysis of changes
  • Partner with Platform team to identify and track cost/operational efficiencies
  • Provide financial analysis to support contract negotiations with Infrastructure vendors
  • Develop and implement a methodology to allocate infrastructure costs to product/BUs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with building complex and detailed cost/consumption models
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to build professional relationships will be critical to your success
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude who is comfortable asking questions 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Anaplan, Looker, Tableau, and Oracle skills a plus


This role will be remote, and based in the USA.

Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $74,000-$93,000
  • Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
