The opportunity:

We are making a new addition to our Growth team and hiring a Director, Sales. Over the past year, we’ve seen strong conversion rates from the relatively small sales team and are now ready to bring in a new leader to own the Sales P&L, better align the sales experience with the rest of our customer journey, and build the business case to scale the team! This is an exciting opportunity as the company is ready to further expand the sales team based on the business outcomes that this Director, Sales can deliver. The Director, Sales will be responsible for elevating the current sales team to increase the percent of acquisitions that are acquired through a sales call while decreasing the cost per acquisition from a sales call.
This role will report to the VP of Growth and partner with key stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product and Data.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the entire sales cycle from inbound lead to close. Set and bring to life a medium-to-long term Sales strategy that integrates with the Growth and go-to-market roadmaps, including the exploration of new sales channel opportunities.
  • Be responsible for increasing acquisition volume from the sales team and decrease the sales team CAC
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of 4-5 to start; as we hit performance targets we are looking to scale to 20+
  • Partner closely with the paid media, lifecycle marketing and product teams to increase lead volume and improve the pre/post sales call programmatic communication to better convert leads
  • Set, track and report on sales metrics in accordance with Growth goals and objectives. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales & revenue forecasts
  • Evolve and optimize Sales technology over time, including CRM, sales intelligence tools, call & messaging / omnichannel platforms, and analytics
  • Manage and evolve our analytical lens to better measure, understand and forecast sales performance, and share understanding throughout your team and the broader organization for continual improvement
  • Own the sales team P&L

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of outbound sales experience, including sales management; previous experience in healthcare
  • Deep understanding of the sales lifecycle and how to best nurture and convert leads<span data-offset-key="7595o-6-0">; previously partnered closely with media and lifecycle marketing teams
  • Hands-on experience managing Sales software and business intelligence tools (eg: Looker, Tableau)
  • Proven track record of planning and execution against team’s performance metrics, including sales goals, forecasting, and operational efficiency
  • Excellent problem solving skills using data analytics to set up and drive strategic choices, within your team and collaboratively with partner teams
  • Strong communication skills including preparing and delivering executive insights and recommendations
