Brightcove is currently hiring for a Director, Content Marketing. This position will report to the VP of Global Demand Generation & Field Marketing. In this role you will own Customer Marketing lifecycles from end-to-end, designing campaign strategies and analyzing campaign results to drive effective and efficient data-driven performance. You will collaborate with customer success to design, build and execute a customer advocacy program. As an expert in customer marketing, you will forge a close working relationship with the Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Organizations. You will work with a diverse, passionate team to create customer engagement, build customer loyalty and drive cross-sell and upsell pipeline. You will champion Brightcove’s strategic goal of building deeper, wider and longer lasting customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ownership or Brightcove’s customer marketing strategy across two complementary pillars, 1) campaigns that drive pipeline, 2) advocacy program that drives customer retention as well as supports new business acquisition
  • Gain insights, develop strategies, and share best practices to expand Brightcove’s footprint and ‘stickiness’ within the customer base.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of Brightcove’s loyalty and customer advocacy programs. Plan and execute a range of engagement options and compelling incentives for customers
  • Multi-channel customer communications across email, digital advertising, social media, community engagement platforms and direct mail
  • Partner with Marketing leadership, Customer Success, & Product teams to define and evolve and carefully choreographed land & expand customer journey.
  • Work closely with Content, Product Marketing and Marketing Communications to ensure effective cadence of customer communications.
  • Communicate strategic best practices while testing into new opportunities.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • 8+ years of customer marketing experience for B2B software companies.
  • 5+ years of experience planning, developing, launching, and analyzing paid social, direct mail, and programs to drive sustainable and efficient CAC at scale.
  • Deep understanding of Marketing Technology and customer engagement best practices across email, digital advertising, social media, community engagement platforms and direct mail.
  • A thirst for A/B testing and learning across and within channels; you are rigorous in your thinking and seek concrete validation for your hypotheses.
  • Willingness to take ownership, dive in and execute with a one team mindset and approach
  • Positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and ability to be a genuine team player; you’ll work cross-functionally with many different teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, transformative environment.
  • Customer marketing experience within the media/video industry required.
  • Expertise in marketing personas and video industry audiences.
