Our client is an independent, data-driven media designing, buying, and selling agency aimed at solving business puzzles and bringing sophistication to their client through add-on analytics, advanced attribution modelling, and award-winning data science work. They are looking for a motivated Director Of Digital Media capable of comfortably and independently investigating strategic and tactical challenges, devising a plan to meet the challenges, and communicating the plan and needs of each team member.

The role will be responsible for the oversight of clients’ Digital Media Buys and a team of biddable media buyers – who operate within Programmatic, Search, and Social self-service buying platforms – on a day-to-day basis. You will ensure that the digital buyers’ tasks such as campaign setup, optimization, pacing, and QA are completed on schedule. You will be responsible for helping to architect and refine the digital processes as the organization scales and grows.

You will also play a role in determining optimal campaign structure, reviewing performance reporting to help identify optimization opportunities, and driving the tagging approach to ensure data collection is seamless and accurate. You will translate all of these processes, findings, and outcomes into client decks and statuses and help foster the digital understanding of the team as Traditional Media specialists are cross-trained in Digital.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing the daily workflow of all client campaigns, including campaign strategy proposals for current and prospective clients, campaign activation and oversight of campaign maintenance, and oversight of insights within client reporting.
  • Taking ownership of optimizations made to campaigns to ensure performance, including monitoring trends in performance and ideating with the buying team around strategies to improve performance.
  • Understanding and effectively communicating company capabilities, technology stack, and processes to current and prospective clients.
  • Ensuring buying best practices and other processes are being followed – adapting best practices and processes where they could be more effective or if they become outdated.
  • Assisting in training, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Developing and maintaining QA procedures for campaign launches, tagging, and optimization implementation.
  • Participating in internal meetings to share new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance.
  • Embracing and contributing to a culture of collaboration and intellectual curiosity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in in-platform Programmatic, Video, Social, or Search buying
  • In-depth understanding of media planning for programmatic/biddable media, including familiarity with Google Marketing Platform (DV360, SA360, CM360), The Trade Desk, or similar buying platforms.
  • Experience in leading campaign optimizations.
  • The ability to organize your workload and delegate tasks to relevant teams to ensure timely task and project completion.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Experience in delivering presentations to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills.
