Position Description

The Demand Management Planner is a member of the Supply Chain team and will oversee the Demand Planning (forecasting and inventory) requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand and Inventory Plans that will enable the company to meet sales and service objectives while aligning with cash flow requirements. Collaboration with other members of the operations, sales, product management, engineering, and customer support teams is critical to achieve these sales, service, and financial objectives.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years of relevant Supply Chain experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Software


What We’re Looking For

  • B.S. degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field
  • Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement or planning
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning process
  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting best practices
  • Good communication and Team building skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
  • Relevant Experience in Supply Chain related field.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP functionality
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, and margin contributions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory
  • Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory


Why We Need You

  • Design and generate weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports
  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach
  • Relate and measure the impact of forecast accuracy
  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems
  • Develop and present material availability analysis
  • Establish and utilize best methods including statistical models and software tools (as available) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends
  • Lead SIOP forecast and inventory planning meetings with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance personnel, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals (emphasis on brand transitions, new product introduction, and promotions)
  • Manage inventory targets including reorder points and service levels that are developed using mathematical calculations
  • Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements and projections to management
  • Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future
  • Proactively facilitate re-engineering, best practices, and consensus between functional experts (Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance, and IT)
