Position Title & Overview:

The Mediavine Marketing team is currently looking to fill the newly created position of Communications Manager.

We are seeking a Communications Manager with experience in both external and internal communications to join the team and guide and strategically grow our company’s communications capacity. The Communications Manager is an expert communicator and collaborator with a proven track record of meeting outcomes across strategic, tactical and partnering objectives for clients focused on information technology (IT) development and operations.

The Marketing team is responsible for branding and promoting Mediavine’s many product offerings, from ad management to privacy solutions. We’re also responsible for producing collateral for every Mediavine department, from Sales pitch decks to perks one-sheeters for People Ops. In addition, we produce all of Mediavine’s external content (including blog posts, press releases, thought leadership pieces, Facebook Lives, videos, emails, social media and a podcast), as well as all events, both in person and digital.

The Communications Manager is on the Marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Marketing, on the larger Brand team under the Chief Brand Officer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the successful implementation of a communications strategy that incorporates all existing channels, accurately conveys the Mediavine brand and accomplishes all agreed upon objectives
  • Lead communications research, including channels and content audit, audience and stakeholder analysis and communications protocols and policies
  • Manage public relations and other communications staff and coordinate with internal creative and technical teams to ensure communications materials are developed on time, in service of established goals
  • Collaborate on the development of communications to explain and promote the use of new technologies, tools, and platforms, and increase engagement with clients’ stakeholders and customers
  • Review communications collateral prior to release, ensuring that all output is accurate and reflects the brand
  • Project management activities, including facilitating strategic discussions, tracking deliverables, and aiding with general management and organizational activities
  • Coordination and documentation of collaboration opportunities across the teams to ensure communications and other activities are aligned, redundancies eliminated, and overall timeliness and accuracy is increased
  • Increase transparency and belonging within the organization
  • Build partnerships within Mediavine teams and externally with relevant partners to gain recognition on initiatives and visibility of efforts
  • Develop, coordinate and implement ongoing outreach, promotional, and communications efforts designed to educate and enable change about new business processes/information
  • Work with leadership to determine overall communication goals and how they intersect with company goals and principles



  • Must currently live in the United States

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or a similar field
  • 7+ years of previous relevant experience in communications
  • 2+ years of internal communications experience
  • Previous people management experience, remote a plus
  • An understanding of IT as it relates to increased efficiency in business processes across a company or agency
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, with proofreading expertise
  • A passion for communication and an excitement to contribute to an existing team and drive them to scale
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • A passion for telling stories; someone who is innately curious, self-driven, with highly effective interpersonal skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • An adeptness with heavily technical language
  • An ability to navigate new technologies and have knowledge of the latest innovative communication technology to deliver a more modern communication experience
  • Excellent media relations skills and PR experience
  • Ability to multitask and monitor several projects simultaneously on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
