JOB LOCATION: Hybrid – (3 days a week in CHICAGO-River North office)

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analyst, Brink Business Operations reports directly to the Director, Brink Business Operations. The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally between all Brink business units, including services, operations, marketing, business development, product management, and sales. He/she will provide analytical and financial rigor in corporate decision-making – where to hire, where to restructure, where to enter markets, where to build, where to acquire, and where to divest.

 

Key responsibilities:

 Predictive Analysis and Financial Modeling: 

  • Assess historical trends across business units and model out implied future performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop analytical insights, test plans, propensity models, and success criteria that will help drive a better understanding of the Brink customer journey
  • Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, business case, and financial model/projections for Brink + PAR payments

Data Visualization: 

  • Develop compelling data-oriented narratives, data visualizations, and business recommendation
  • Conceptualize and create dashboards that are simple, visually appealing, and showcase a powerful story

Cross-collaboration: 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives and ad-hoc problem-solving
  • Lead analytical workstream on annual studies and surveys (e.g., customer sentiment, Sales team sentiment, etc.

Risk Management and Market Analysis: 

  • Interact with internal teams to provide and review feedback about process improvement opportunities and action plan
  • Develop market and strategic analyses, working with leadership from all functions (e.g., market sizing, build/partner assessment, competitive strategy/game theory)

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

Required Educational Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • Desire to get your hands dirty and execute on projects

 

Preferred Skills (nice to have but not a mandatory requirement to apply for this position):

  • 1-2 years’ work experience in business analysis
  • Advanced financial modeling skills (DCF model, forecasting model, three statement model)
  • Ability to craft scientifically grounded sales incentive plans that maximize employee output and firm profitability
  • Ability to synthesize business intelligence and market trend data and provide recommendations to key company leadership (CEO, CFO, Director, and General Manager, Brink) via monthly analytical reports and presentations
  • Advanced presentational skills
