About this role:
We are seeking a creative, analytical, and organized Associate Buyer with strong experience in e-commerce, inventory management and new brand partner acquisition to join the Dopple family as we grow at lightning speed.
The successful candidate will approach the business with a “think outside of the box” mentality, looking for opportunities to implement and improve processes within Merchandising.  You will be responsible for managing a pipeline of brands, both new and current, managing all with timely communication to ensure we remain in stock in key categories and sizes.  This role will require new brand acquisition and delivering an amazing experience to our brand partners at every interaction. 
You will be an integral part of the Merchandising team, reporting directly to the Director of Merchandising.  You will frequently liaise with cross-functional teams including Operations, Marketing, Styling & CX. 
Please note that this role can be based in New York, NY or remote within the US.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • New brand acquisition inclusive of pitching, timely follow up and inventory selection
  • Build and maintain healthy brand partner relationships, owning communication with all brands regarding questions and roadblock resolution
  • Inventory management – ensuring units are secured and shipped to achieve our monthly inventory plan and working cross-functionally with our Operations team to achieve a seamless receipt process
  • Assist in the development and analyzation of key metrics to manage inventory and sales performance
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to build promotional strategies based on market trends, available inventory, performance, and customer feedback
  • Work closely with the Styling team to provide weekly updates on best-sellers, trends and new products, as well as actionable direction based on inventory position
  • Liaise between Dopple internal teams (Ops, Finance, Tech) to ensure timely invoice payment and strong cross-functional communication

The ideal candidate will exceed the following requirements:

  • Experience in brand acquisition and relationship management required – bonus points if you bring along an amazing portfolio of new brands for Dopple
  • 5+ years of Merchandising e-commerce experience, including experience in inventory management
  • A strong grasp of retail math as well as strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret actionable trends from data and provide go-forward plans
  • Previous start-up experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with G Suite and MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Google Sheets)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
