The Customer Education team provides training and facilitation services to our Customers as well as a variety of teams and roles at Mailchimp, including Product Support, Sales, and others. As an Advanced Trainer, you will create and maintain documentation, provide facilitation, and act as a mentor/coach to other Trainers. We are looking for someone with prior Technical and/or Sales Training experience who is comfortable facilitating on a wide range of topics, getting up to speed quickly on new material in a fast moving environment. There are opportunities to collaborate across many teams, participate in highly impactful initiatives, and solve problems creatively.

What you’ll do:  

  • You'll facilitate training sessions and webinars for technical topics, sales strategies, and soft skills for both internal and external customers
  • You'll partner with Training managers to identify and close organizational performance gaps specific to supported areas
  • You'll provide input to training strategy based on performance results and business strategies
  • You'll provide coaching, mentoring, and informal leadership to other trainers 
  • You'll teach other trainers and non-trainers to deliver well-defined training programs, and help to create and maintain Train-the-Trainer curriculum
  • You'll partner with instructional designers during needs analysis to analyze new or redesigned workshops and provides input and feedback after course is delivered
  • You'll work flexible hours to support delivery of training sessions or webinars which exceed the typical workday when needed
  • You'll evaluate student performance against standards. Provide feedback to the students and their leaders, that may include carrying out performance management procedures up to and including termination.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Communication or related field, or equivalent relevant experience 
  • Significant experience leading sales, technical, and/or leadership training
  • Experience with Mailchimp products
  • Willingness and flexibility to quickly and nimbly learn relevant skill sets being taught
  • Advanced facilitation skills, including skills to navigate discussions, manage dialogue between managers and participants, and communicate and lead in different environments (such as physical and virtual classrooms)
  • Experience managing direct reports or significant experience leading through influence to deliver results
  • Experience leading change initiatives. 
  • Experience identifying and managing complex group dynamics and react real time to changes in content and/or processes
  • Experience managing multiple, complex projects and project teams related to training programs
