F&G is hiring a VP, Annuity Distribution.
Job Summary
The Vice President, Annuity Distribution will be responsible for overseeing the promotion of F&G Annuity products with a specific focus on Brokerage IMO distributors and customers. This position will manage established relationships and foster production through developing accounts, recruiting new distribution partners and Power Producer agents. This position will be responsible for managing the external and internal sales and account management Brokerage Annuity Distribution team and directing activities internally to achieve production goals and sales objectives within the channel. This position will also contribute to product development, key operations initiatives, and targeted marketing campaigns to Brokerage IMO market.
This position reports to the SVP, Head of Annuity Distribution and will be responsible for managing a team of sales leaders and directing activities to achieve sales goals. This position will interact externally with distribution partners and internally with several departments including all other Distribution Channels, Actuarial, Product Development, Operations, and Legal.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving sales of F&G Annuity products within the Brokerage (IMO) Channel and by establishing new partnerships (Partner defined as Annuity & Life IMO’s, Banks, Broker Dealers).
- Responsible for coordinating the development of sales and marketing plans by each team member.
- Maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners through frequent communication and visitation. Encourage, support, and participate in meetings and seminars that promote F&G. Coordinate with internal partners in support of distribution partner’s needs.
- Ownership of budget management of events and expense control for the channel.
- Coordinate the Internal Sales Teams and External Sales Teams activities and key campaigns.
- Partner with Marketing team to develop high quality promotional pieces in support of Sales efforts.
- Generate monthly reports and deliver ad hoc projects to the Head of Annuity Distribution.
- Work closely with the other Distribution leaders to create synergies and opportunities for F&G.
- Take active role in partnering with operations and legal to assure positive field service experience.
- Effective contributions to product development by partnering with internal teams.
- Effective contributions to the distribution strategy for F&G.
- Serve on various leadership committees including the Brokerage IMO Channel Product Strategy Committee, the Market Strategy Committee, and more.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters or MBA in marketing or management is preferable.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Annuity, Life or Financial Institutional business
- Minimum 10 years of sales, marketing and management experience.
- Industry designations of CLU, ChFC, CFP, MSM are desired
- Proven leadership ability
- Knowledgeable on the status of insurance products, markets, distribution channels, retirement and savings plan, sales and marketing, information systems, client needs and regulatory matters.
